Former FSSPX Superior of Germany Joins a Novus Ordo Community

The former District Superior of the Priestly Fraternity of St Pius X in Germany, Swiss-born Father Firmin Udressy, has left the Priestly Fraternity to join the neo-conservative Novus Ordo community of St Martin in France. The Superior of the Swiss District, Father Thibaud Favre, announced in a statement on 18 September "with deep sadness and great regret" that Father Udressy had moved to "a conciliar community". The statement expressed gratitude for his priestly ministry. Father Udressy was appointed German superior in 2013 at the age of 36, and returned to Switzerland in 2019. He was due to become District Superior in Canada this autumn. Germany is the third largest FSSPX district in the world after the USA and France. Udressy grew up near Ecône, where the FSSPX developed in the early days and where it now has a seminary. His brother is an FSSPX priest and three of his sisters are nuns. Source

Bishop Urges Catholics Not To Attend Mass at FSSPX Carmelite Nuns

Bishop Michael Olson of Fort Worth, Texas, "must plead" with the faithful to not participate in any sacraments at the Carmelite nuns in Arlington who have announced an affiliation with the Priestly Fraternity of St Pius X, he wrote in a September 17 letter to his diocese. For Bishop Olson, it is also important that the nuns receive "no financial support." He considers the recent re-election of the nuns' superior, Mother Teresa Agnes, invalid. Further, he laments a "path of disobedience" and "disunity with the Church". More whining: "Their rejection of their legitimate superiors - Mother Marie of the Incarnation [appointed by the Vatican on paper] and me as their diocesan bishop - is scandalous and is permeated with the odour of schism." Irish Bishops: Children Should Masquerade as "Fruits" for Sunday Liturgy

The Irish bishops have published a 28-page recommendation for Sunday liturgies during the "Season of Creation 2024". It will be celebrated this fall. The new name for Thanksgiving is Season of Creation Liturgy. Ideas for preparing liturgies include the using technology for audio-visual resources and displaying the fruits of the harvest in front of the altar. The prelates encourage to "invite children to dress in fruit and vegetable costumes and bring fruits of the earth to bring to the altar in the entrance procession." The "penitential rite" blames human activities for a destruction of "Mother Earth, our common home". The English term "fruit" is also used as a slang term to refer to homosexuals. Source

The St. Johann parish In Osnabrück, Germany, celebrated a tattoo service on Saturday. The motto was: "When faith gets under your skin". A man in a T-shirt, homosex stole, and red sneakers preached. Several other people told the audience what their tattoos meant to their "faith". After those sermons, people could receive tattoos directly in the church. The German state television news program "Tagesschau" reported with pleasure on another church that has lost its track. Source
