Monsignor Viganò Criticises Pagan Ritual Which He Attended Earlier without Complaint - Bishop

Monsignor James Powers, the Bishop of Superior, Wisconsin, has accused Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, a former nuncio to the United States (2011-2016), of "public defamation", reports PillarCatholic.com (decree here). Monsignor Powers presided over a syncretistic Chrism Eucharist on 19 March, which included a shamanic ceremony in which several women danced around the Novus Ordo table with feathers and drum beats. Viganò called this a "sacrilegious act that desecrates the cathedral" and said that Mgr Powers was "not a successor of the Apostles, but a servant of Freemasonry" [although the event must be blamed entirely on the Novus Ordo Church, not on anyone else]. Father Stefan Hörstrup, pastor of St Lamberti's in Ochtrup (6400 "Catholics"), Diocese of Münster, Germany, has only about 20 marriages a year in his parish, he told the newspaper 'Westfälische Nachrichten' (5 April).
